French in the City was founded in 2003 to provide Bostonians with the highest quality of French language instruction via tailor made private lessons.

All teachers are French natives with Masters in Linguistics, and have been trained in France to teach French as a foreign language. We also own Masters in English and American Literature as we strongly believe that we need to understand YOUR language and culture fully in order to teach you ours.

You can learn French from scratch, brush up on your existing French, or take your advanced French to a fully fluent experience. We are very particular about every aspect of the language and never fail to incorporate cultural aspects.

Whatever your needs may be, we will customize the method and the content to suit you and help you reach your goals rapidly. We use a communicative approach through which our students are constanly challenged to speak.

If you are a busy professional you will not need to move from your office or home. We will go to you and provide all material.
